I started Felt Flanerie in 2013 to share my love of felt and slow craft—an act of resistance in a fast-paced world and a way to honor patience, tradition, artistry, and sustainability. What began with a needle, thread, and a piece of wool felt has grown into a joyful practice of shaping texture, color, and whimsy by hand. I’m based in the SF Bay Area and always thrilled to turn your ideas into heirlooms. Let’s make something wonderful together!

What is Felt Flanerie?
/felt/ a fabric made by rolling and pressing wool accompanied by the application of heat or moisture
/flanerie/ the art of wandering without a specific goal, to be free of worry and full of idealism
Born with a Vision
Felt Flanerie is the dream child of me , Amanda. Developed in 2013, the business has sought to bring to light the joy of felt products.
Imprinted in the genetics as a lifelong sewer, first learning the art at 11 years old. I credits my skill and love for sewing & textiles to my grandmother, who taught me all she knew before she passed. Over time, Felt Flanerie blossom and I developed my own sense of style. In the process, seeing my #slowcraft as resistance to the ever wasteful cycle of our fast paced world.
